Why We Stand With Gaza

Over the past month, huge protests have erupted around the world to support the people of Gaza in the face of Israel's massive devastation that has killed over 1300 Palestinians, one-third of them children. This movement is continuing the political pressure to support Palestine, and it is coming to City College. Israel's general siege on Gaza has not stopped, as seen in the renewed attacks on Rafah and current blockades of even construction supplies into Gaza to rebuild homes, schools, and hospitals. The assault continues with no end in sight.

Please come to a special Teach-In event featuring speakers and a discussion about the current situation of Israel's siege on Gaza, its historical context, and what we can do to stop it. For anyone opposed to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, this meeting is sure to educate and energize you on why the antiwar movement needs to argue for peace and justice in Palestine.

Thursday, Feb. 19th 12:30-2pm
City College NAC room 1/211

Sponsored by the Campus Antiwar Network, the General Union of Palestinian Students, Radical Women, and the International Socialist Organization.
