Teach-In for a New Global Justice Movement

*Resisting the Crisis • Mobilizing for the G-20
A TEACH-IN FOR A NEW GLOBAL JUSTICE MOVEMENT*

Activists around the country are mobilizing to protest the upcoming G-20 summit in Pittsburgh (Sept. 24-26), a gathering of finance ministers and central bank governors, as well as representatives from the World Bank and IMF. As the economic downturn deepens, the institutions that comprise the G-20 scramble to project their legitimacy by claiming to have solutions to the environmental and economic crises.
However, we know better than to believe more broken promises. Many of us are planning to take our fights to Pittsburgh, but where does the struggle for social justice go from there? Come hear speakers from anti-war, community, and international solidarity organizations on the costs of the crisis at home and abroad. Learn how you can get involved in organizing resistance to the G-20—and what comes next here in New York.
